Rochester

Rochester (/ˈrɒtʃɪstər/ ROTCH-iss-tər) was a Medway unitary authority city that is historic in Kent, England. The second oldest in England and on Rochester Cathedral is centred, the Diocese of Rochester was responsible for The King's School, a school founding, in 604 AD, which as being the continuously running school that is second oldest in the world is recognised.

Rochester had land that was governed in Strood on the Medway other side since Norman times, which as Strood Intra was known; it was about 100 yards (91 m) wide before 1835 and stretched to Gun Lane. However, Chatham Intra as well as the old parishes on the Medway's east bank and Rochester historically included the Strood Intra wards that were ancient on the west bank of the river.
